ABOUT SAMANTHA MURRAY — FOUNDER & CEO

In 2002, Samantha started a career in the kitchen and bath design industry by taking a position as a project manager and designer for a home improvement company in Suffolk County, NY.  She then spent the next 8 years travelling throughout the company, spending time at each of their 4 locations as the showroom manager.  This experience gave her the opportunity and exposure to not only design but to orchestrate the construction from start to finish.  Before launching her own business in 2013, Samantha ran a showroom for 5 years on the North Shore of Long Island working directly with high end clientele fulfilling all of their design needs.  In this position she was able to focus mainly on her expertise and talent for designing.  Samantha always dreamed of owning her own business so with the overwhelming support from the cultivated relationships she made with her clients and vendors, and her trust in their loyalty, she took a leap of faith … and SMDesigns was born.  

Specializing in both residential and commercial spaces, Samantha treats each project with the same intricate detail, taking the time to really get to know and understand the scope of each job, but more importantly, the aesthetic.  Careful planning and non-stop communication ensures that each of SMDesigns client’s vision and deadlines stay intact.  Samantha stays current with trends and innovations, and chases only the best materials in the world.  She takes great pride in delivering top quality designs, coverings and service.
